Ingredients
Scale
Slider Filling
- 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup prepared ranch dressing
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried dill
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken
Slider Assembly
- 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls, butter rolls, or potato rolls)
Garlic Butter Topping
- 1/3 cup melted butter (salted or unsalted)
- 3/4 tsp garlic powder
- Minced fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with foil or parchment paper and lightly spray it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Slice the Buns: If your slider buns are not pre-sliced, place the buns on a cutting board and carefully slice horizontally through the entire package with a serrated knife, keeping one hand on top to stabilize the rolls.
- Make Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked and crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, kosher salt, and black pepper. Stir until well blended.
- Add Chicken: Fold in the cooked and shredded chicken until it is evenly coated with the ranch mixture.
- Assemble Sliders: Place the bottom half of the sliced buns into the prepared baking pan with the cut side up, keeping the buns connected.
- Spread Filling: Evenly spread the chicken bacon ranch mixture over the bottom half of the buns.
- Add Top Buns: Place the top halves of the buns over the filling, cut side down, maintaining the connection of the rolls.
- Prepare Garlic Butter Topping: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder until combined.
- Brush Topping: Brush or pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the tops of the slider buns.
- Bake: Cover the pan with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and crispy to your liking.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes. Cut into individual sliders, garnish with minced fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the filling mixture.
- You can substitute cheddar cheese with pepper jack or mozzarella for different flavors.
- Using Hawaiian rolls adds a subtle sweetness that complements the savory filling.
- Leftover sliders can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
- Make sure to keep the slider buns connected when assembling to make cutting and serving easier.
