Description

This Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Dip is a creamy, spicy, and cheesy appetizer perfect for game days, parties, or casual gatherings. Made with shredded canned chicken, tangy buffalo hot sauce, creamy ranch dressing, and melted cheddar cheese, this dip is effortlessly prepared in a slow cooker for rich flavors and easy serving.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 4 cups canned chicken, drained (about two large cans)

Dairy

  • 16 ounces cream cheese (two packages)
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup ranch dressing

Sauces & Condiments

  • 1 cup buffalo hot sauce (we use Frank’s)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cream cheese: Cut the cream cheese into small chunks to help it melt faster and blend smoothly with the other ingredients.
  2. Add ingredients to the crockpot: Place the drained canned chicken, cream cheese chunks, buffalo hot sauce, ranch dressing, and shredded cheddar cheese into the crockpot. Stir everything thoroughly to combine all ingredients evenly.
  3. Cook the dip: Cover the crockpot and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours or on high heat for 1-2 hours. Stir the mixture every 30 minutes to ensure the cream cheese melts completely and the dip becomes creamy and well-blended.
  4. Serve: Once the dip is fully melted and combined, serve it warm alongside tortilla chips, crackers, or sliced vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add more buffalo sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Use freshly cooked shredded chicken if preferred, just adjust cook time accordingly.
  • Be sure to stir frequently to prevent burning and ensure smooth texture.
  • This dip can be kept warm in the crockpot on the warm setting for up to 2 hours after cooking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
