This comforting Crockpot Pork Chops & Stuffing recipe brings together tender pork chops simmered in a creamy mushroom sauce with a buttery stuffing topping. Perfect for an easy, hands-off meal that delivers rich flavors and satisfying textures over a slow cooking process.
Ingredients
Scale
Pork and Vegetables
- 2.5 lbs pork chops (5 pork chops)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 ribs celery, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
Sauce
- 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
Stuffing
- 6 oz box Stove Top stuffing mix (any flavor)
- ¼ cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Layer Pork Chops and Veggies: Lay the pork chops evenly in the bottom of your crockpot. Sprinkle the diced onion, sliced celery, and minced garlic evenly over the pork chops to build the flavorful base.
- Prepare and Pour Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and chicken broth until smooth. Pour this creamy mixture evenly over the pork chops and vegetables in the crockpot to coat all the ingredients.
- Mix Stuffing: Using the same bowl to save dishes, stir together the stuffing mix and melted butter thoroughly until all the bread crumbs are coated with butter.
- Top with Stuffing: Evenly spread the buttery stuffing mixture over the top of the pork chops and sauce layer in the crockpot. This will create a delicious crust as it cooks.
- Cook Low and Slow: Cover the crockpot and cook on low for about 6 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours. Make sure the pork chops are tender and reach an internal temperature of at least 145°F before serving.
Notes
- Make sure to check the internal temperature of the pork chops with a meat thermometer to ensure they are safely cooked.
- You can substitute the cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken soup for a different flavor profile.
- If you prefer crispy stuffing topping, briefly place the cooked pork chops under a broiler for a couple of minutes before serving.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently to maintain moisture.
