Description

The Dirty Monkey Frozen Cocktail is a deliciously indulgent frozen drink combining creamy coconut, sweet banana, rich chocolate liqueur, and smooth white rum. Blended to a milkshake-like consistency and garnished with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and banana slice, this tropical-inspired cocktail is perfect for warm days or fun parties.

Ingredients

Scale

Liquids & Spirits

  • 2 oz. white rum
  • 1.5 oz. chocolate liqueur
  • 45 oz. coconut cream (or milk)

Fruits & Others

  • 1 ripe banana, cut into chunks and frozen
  • 1/21 cup ice

Garnishes

  • Chocolate syrup
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Unpeeled banana slice

Instructions

  1. Blend the Ingredients: Add the white rum, chocolate liqueur, coconut cream, frozen banana chunks, and ice into a blender. Puree until the mixture is smooth and reaches a milkshake consistency. Start with 4 oz. of coconut cream and 1/2 cup of ice, then adjust by adding more coconut cream and ice if you want a less potent or thinner cocktail.
  2. Prepare Glass with Chocolate Syrup: Drizzle chocolate syrup down the inside rim of your glass. The more syrup you add, the sweeter and more decorative your cocktail will be.
  3. Pour the Cocktail: Pour the blended mixture into a chilled hurricane glass or your preferred cocktail glass to keep it refreshing.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Top the cocktail with whipped cream, drizzle more chocolate syrup on top, add a slice of unpeeled banana, and finish with a paper straw and a drink umbrella if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your tropical frozen treat!

Notes

  • You can substitute coconut milk for coconut cream for a lighter version, but expect a less creamy texture.
  • Adjust the amount of ice and coconut cream to control the thickness and alcohol strength of the cocktail.
  • Use a ripe banana for maximum sweetness; freezing it beforehand gives the cocktail its cold, slushy texture.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and chocolate liqueur and add more milk or coconut cream.
  • This cocktail is best served immediately to enjoy the creamy frozen texture.
