Ingredients

Ground Beef:

1 pound lean ground beef

Onion:

1/2 medium onion, chopped

Green Bell Pepper:

1/2 green bell pepper, chopped

Tomato Ketchup:

3/4 cup

Yellow Mustard:

1 teaspoon

Garlic Powder:

1 teaspoon

Smoked Paprika:

1 teaspoon

Crushed Red Pepper Flakes:

1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Worcestershire Sauce:

1 teaspoon

Vinegar:

1/2 teaspoon white or apple cider vinegar

Beef Broth:

1/2 cup

Salt & Pepper:

To taste


Instructions

  1. Cook Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to a skillet over medium-high heat. Break it up slightly and let it cook undisturbed for about 8 minutes until browned.
  2. Add Onions and Peppers: Stir in the onions and green bell pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes, breaking up the beef into smaller pieces.
  3. Add Remaining Ingredients: Reduce heat to medium. Stir in ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and beef broth. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  4. Season and Serve: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve in toasted buns.
