Scale
Coffee Mixture
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
Mascarpone Mixture
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Assembly
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
- Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Coffee Mixture: Brew a strong cup of coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature. If you like, add 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur to enhance the flavor and stir well.
- Make the Mascarpone Mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 large egg yolks and 1/2 cup granulated sugar until the mixture becomes pale and creamy. Gently fold in 1 cup of mascarpone cheese until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone and egg yolk mixture until fully incorporated, creating a light and fluffy filling.
- Assemble the Tiramisu: Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the cooled coffee mixture making sure they are soaked but not soggy. Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer in an 8×8 inch rectangular dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Chill and Serve: Cover the assembled tiramisu with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results. Just before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings if desired. Serve chilled and enjoy your delicious Easy Tiramisu.
