For the Green Tea:
- 1 litre water
- 4 green tea bags
For the Honeydew Mint Puree:
- 2 cups diced ripe honeydew melon
- 120 ml fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
- 4–6 tablespoons granulated sugar, to taste
For Serving:
- Ice cubes, for serving
Instructions
- Brew Green Tea: Bring water to a gentle boil and pour over green tea bags in a heatproof jug. Steep for 3–5 minutes according to preferred strength. Remove tea bags and allow tea to cool to room temperature.
- Prepare Honeydew Mint Puree: Combine diced honeydew melon and fresh mint leaves in a blender. Blend until smooth, forming a vibrant honeydew-mint puree.
- Sweeten Tea: While the tea is still warm, dissolve granulated sugar, adjusting quantity to taste. Stir thoroughly until fully incorporated.
- Combine and Mix: Once the tea reaches room temperature, pour it into a large pitcher with the honeydew-mint puree. Mix well to evenly blend flavors.
- Serve Over Ice: Fill glasses with ice cubes, then pour the honeydew mint tea over the ice. Garnish each serving with additional mint leaves for a fresh finish.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness of the tea by adding more or less sugar according to your preference.
- For a stronger mint flavor, you can muddle the fresh mint leaves before adding them to the honeydew melon in the blender.
