  • Diet: Low Fat

Description

This Ninja Creami Vanilla Protein Ice Cream is a delicious, customizable frozen treat that’s high in protein and easy to make at home. Using whole milk, vanilla protein powder, and pudding mix, it creates a creamy base perfect for adding your favorite mix-ins like cookies, chocolate chips, or fruit. It’s a great way to enjoy a sweet dessert while boosting your protein intake.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (about 2 Tbsp, recommended Clean Simple Eats)
  • 12 Tbsp sweetener of choice (monk fruit, granulated sugar)
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla Jello pudding mix (regular or sugar-free)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Optional Mix-Ins

  • Cookie dough
  • Peanut butter cups
  • Oreos
  • M&Ms
  • Chocolate chips
  • Graham crackers
  • Fruit
  • Sprinkles
  • Protein bar pieces

Instructions

  1. Mix the base ingredients: Add the milk, vanilla protein powder, sweetener, pudding mix, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt into an empty Ninja CREAMi™ pint container to prepare the ice cream base.
  2. Whisk: Use a whisk or milk frother to blend all ingredients thoroughly, ensuring the protein powder and pudding mix are fully incorporated for a smooth mixture.
  3. Freeze: Place the pint on a level surface in the freezer with the lid off and freeze for 24 hours. Freezing without the lid prevents a hump which could damage the machine’s blade.
  4. Assemble: Once frozen, remove the pint from the freezer, place it into the Ninja CREAMi™ outer bowl, and secure the lid. Attach the bowl to the motor base, twist the handle right to raise the platform, and lock it into position.
  5. Spin it: Select the “Lite Ice Cream” function on the machine to process the frozen mixture into creamy ice cream. Usually, no additional spins are necessary.
  6. Mix-ins (optional): If desired, create a 1½ inch wide hole in the center of the ice cream with a spoon, add your chosen mix-ins, and run the “Mix-in” program once to incorporate them evenly.
  7. Enjoy: Remove the pint from the machine and serve immediately. You can add more mix-ins on top if you like for extra texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Use whole milk or milk alternatives depending on dietary preferences.
  • Freezing with the lid off is crucial to avoid damaging the Creami blade.
  • Customize with any mix-ins you like to create different flavors and textures.
  • For a lower calorie option, use sugar-free pudding mix and a low-calorie sweetener.
  • Protein powder brands and flavors can vary; choose one that blends well and tastes good to you.
