Matcha Mixture

  • 30ml hot water
  • 1/2 tsp matcha powder (1.5g)
  • 10g pistachio paste (100%)
  • 15g agave sirup

Milk and Cream

  • 320ml Alpro oat milk (or other plant-based/dairy milk)
  • 50g whipping cream, plant-based (or dairy)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Matcha Base: Mix the hot water with the matcha powder until fully incorporated and no lumps remain. Use a matcha whisk if available, otherwise a small whisk, whisking longer or sieving to ensure smoothness.
  2. Add Pistachio Paste: Whisk in the pistachio paste into the matcha mixture until completely combined. Transfer this mixture into your serving glass.
  3. Sweeten: Add the agave sirup to the glass with the matcha-pistachio mixture and set aside while preparing the milk.
  4. Whip Cream: Whip the plant-based or dairy whipping cream until soft or firm peaks form, then set aside for topping.
  5. Froth Milk and Assemble: Froth the oat milk until airy and creamy. Pour the frothed milk slowly over the matcha-pistachio mixture in the glass. Stir gently if desired.
  6. Finish with Cream and Garnish: Top the latte with the whipped cream and dust lightly with matcha powder for an elegant finish.

Notes

  • Almond milk is not recommended as its flavor might overpower the delicate pistachio and matcha taste.
  • Agave sirup can be omitted for an unsweetened version.
  • White chocolate can be added instead of agave sirup for natural sweetness; omit the agave in this case.
  • Whipping cream is optional; you can enjoy the latte with just frothed milk if preferred.
  • Use high-quality matcha powder for best flavor, ideally ceremonial grade.
