Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup strawberry Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 3/4 cup diced strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- Optional: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder or collagen peptides
- Optional: 1/4 to 1/2 cup water (if mixture is very thick)
Instructions
- Combine ingredients: In a pint-sized mason jar or a container with a lid, add the old-fashioned oats, milk, strawberry Greek yogurt, chia seeds, diced strawberries, and if using, protein powder or collagen peptides. Mix everything thoroughly to combine all the flavors and ingredients.
- Refrigerate overnight: Seal the jar or container and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the mixture to sit and soak overnight or for at least two hours so the oats soften and the flavors meld together.
- Serve and enjoy: In the morning, simply take out the jar from the fridge and enjoy your ready-to-eat strawberries and cream overnight oats. You can add a little extra milk or water if you prefer a thinner consistency before eating.
Notes
- You can use fresh or frozen strawberries based on availability and preference.
- If the mixture is too thick in the morning, stir in a splash of milk or water to reach your desired consistency.
- Strawberry Greek yogurt can be substituted with vanilla or plain Greek yogurt if preferred.
- Adding protein powder or collagen peptides is optional and adds an extra nutritional boost without altering the flavor significantly.
- This recipe is easily scalable and perfect for meal prepping multiple servings for the week.
