  • 8 large peeled tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, crushed
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan, grated

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb sweet Italian sausage, out of the casing
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup crushed pork rinds
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Sauce Preparation: In a large stockpot, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic. Add pureed tomatoes, tomato paste, herbs, and seasonings. Simmer the sauce.
  2. Meatball Preparation: Combine all meatball ingredients in a bowl. Form into meatballs and sear in a skillet. Add cooked meatballs to the sauce and simmer.
  3. Serve: Serve the meatballs and sauce with pasta or bread.
