  • Author: anna
  • Total Time: 2 hours 10 minutes
  • Yield: 15 servings 1x

Description

Delicious and creamy crockpot hot chocolate made with sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, and a blend of milks. Perfect for warming up on chilly days and easily customizable with your favorite coffee creamer and marshmallows.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Milk Mixture

  • 12 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 1 cup coffee creamer (any favorite flavor works)

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Toppings (Optional)

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Mix Condensed Milk and Cocoa: In the bottom of a cold crockpot, whisk together 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  2. Add Milk Blend and Salt: Slowly whisk in 12 cups of whole milk, 1 cup of half & half, and 1 cup of coffee creamer. Be sure to scrape down the edges for even mixing. Stir in 1 teaspoon of salt.
  3. Warm the Mixture: Cover the crockpot and warm the hot chocolate mixture on high heat for 2 hours or on low heat for 4 hours. This process gently heats the drink without cooking it, just warming it through evenly.
  4. Keep Warm and Serve: Once the hot chocolate reaches your desired temperature, switch the crockpot to the ‘warm’ or low heat setting to maintain the temperature until serving.
  5. Add Toppings: When ready to serve, stir in 1 cup of mini marshmallows and add more coffee creamer if desired for extra creaminess and flavor. Enjoy the cozy, decadent drink!

Notes

  • This recipe is designed to be warmed, not boiled, to preserve the creamy texture.
  • You can customize the flavor by using your favorite coffee creamer, such as vanilla, caramel, or hazelnut.
  • Mini marshmallows are optional but add a delightful sweetness and texture.
  • Use a slow cooker liner or grease the crockpot lightly for easier cleanup.
  • For a non-dairy version, substitute whole milk, half & half, and sweetened condensed milk with plant-based alternatives.
