Ingredients
Scale
Watermelon Fries
- 1 Half of a Large Watermelon
Vanilla Yogurt Dip
- ½ cup Vanilla Yogurt
- 1 cup Strawberries (stems and leaves removed)
- 1 TB Honey
Instructions
- Slice the Watermelon: Cut the watermelon in half, then slice each half into round discs about ½ inch thick to prepare the base for the fries.
- Halve the Discs: Cut each watermelon disc across the middle, creating two semi-circle shaped halves for easier handling.
- Create Watermelon Fries: Using a crinkle cutter, cut the watermelon halves lengthwise from one side to the other to form crinkle-cut fries.
- Remove Excess Rind: Trim off any remaining rind from the fries and set aside for composting or disposal.
- Prepare the Yogurt Dip: Add vanilla yogurt, strawberries, and honey into a blender.
- Blend Ingredients: Blend on low speed until the mixture is smooth and homogenous.
- Adjust Sweetness: Taste and add more honey if desired to reach preferred sweetness, then blend briefly again.
- Serve: Plate the watermelon fries alongside the creamy yogurt dip and enjoy immediately for the freshest flavor.
Notes
- Use a sharp crinkle cutter for neat and uniform watermelon fries.
- Chill the watermelon before cutting for easier slicing and a refreshing snack.
- The yogurt dip can be made dairy-free by substituting with coconut or almond yogurt.
- Adjust the amount of honey to accommodate natural sweetness of the strawberries and personal preference.
- Consume immediately to prevent watermelon fries from becoming soggy.
