  • Total Time: 25 minutes plus chilling time
  • Yield: 64 servings (small squares) 1x

Description

This Banana Split Fudge is a creamy, indulgent treat combining the classic flavors of a banana split in a rich fudge form. Featuring white chocolate, marshmallow fluff, dried fruits, and a smooth banana cream pudding base, it’s a delightful dessert perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Fudge Base

  • 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 box instant banana cream pudding mix (3.4 ounces)
  • 1 package white chocolate chips (11 ounces)
  • 1 jar marshmallow fluff (7 ounces)

Add-ins

  • 3 ounces dried cherries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried pineapple, chopped

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate morsels, melted
  • Sprinkles (for garnish)
  • Mini semisweet chocolate chips (for garnish)
  • Milk Chocolate M&Ms (red, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Sugar Mixture: In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, unsalted butter, a pinch of salt, and heavy whipping cream. Heat over medium, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches a boil. Continue boiling for 4 minutes while stirring to ensure the sugar dissolves completely and the mixture thickens.
  2. Mix Pudding and Chocolate: Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, marshmallow fluff, and instant banana cream pudding mix. Once the hot sugar mixture is ready, pour it carefully over the dry mixture and stir/blend until smooth and fully incorporated.
  3. Add Dried Fruits: Fold in the chopped dried cherries and dried pineapple carefully to distribute them evenly without breaking up the mixture.
  4. Set Fudge: Pour the fudge mixture into a baking dish lined with parchment paper or foil. Spread evenly and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or preferably overnight until it firms up completely.
  5. Add Toppings and Serve: Once firm, cut the fudge into squares. Drizzle the melted white chocolate morsels over the top, then garnish with sprinkles, mini semisweet chocolate chips, and red Milk Chocolate M&Ms for a colorful, festive finish.

Notes

  • Use a lined baking dish to make removing the fudge easier after chilling.
  • Ensure the sugar mixture is boiling for the full 4 minutes to achieve proper texture.
  • Chilling overnight enhances the fudge’s firmness and flavor melding.
  • Feel free to substitute dried fruit with other favorites like dried bananas or raisins.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
