Scale
Slider Ingredients
- 1 package Sweet Hawaiian Rolls (12-count, kept together)
- 8 oz (225g) Sharp Yellow Cheddar Cheese (Sliced)
Garlic Butter Glaze
- 1/2 cup (115g) Unsalted Butter (Melted)
- 1/2 tsp (2.5g) Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp (1g) Dried Parsley
Instructions
- Preparation: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for baking the sliders.
- Slice and Layer: Slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected as one block. Place the bottom half into a baking dish, then layer the sliced sharp yellow cheddar cheese evenly over the rolls.
- Reassemble the Rolls: Carefully replace the top half of the Hawaiian rolls over the cheese layer, ensuring the sandwich is whole again.
- Make and Apply the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley to create a flavorful glaze. Using a brush, generously coat the top of the slider rolls with this garlic butter mixture.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. This allows the cheese to melt thoroughly inside.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5 to 8 minutes until the tops are golden brown, buttery, and lightly toasted.
- Serve: Let the sliders cool for a few minutes, then pull apart the individual rolls and serve warm as a delightful snack or party appetizer.
Notes
- Keep the rolls connected when slicing to maintain the pull-apart slider shape.
- Use sharp cheddar cheese for a perfect balance of meltiness and flavor.
- The garlic butter glaze can be adjusted with fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra aroma.
- Covering with foil during baking helps melt the cheese without drying out the rolls.
- These sliders are best served warm fresh out of the oven.
