  • Author: anna
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 mini sliders 1x

Description

These Mini Grilled Cheese Hawaiian Rolls are the ultimate buttery pull-apart sliders, perfect for a quick and delicious snack or appetizer. Made with sweet Hawaiian rolls, sharp cheddar cheese, and a flavorful garlic butter glaze, they come together easily and bake to a golden, melty perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

Slider Ingredients

  • 1 package Sweet Hawaiian Rolls (12-count, kept together)
  • 8 oz (225g) Sharp Yellow Cheddar Cheese (Sliced)

Garlic Butter Glaze

  • 1/2 cup (115g) Unsalted Butter (Melted)
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5g) Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp (1g) Dried Parsley

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for baking the sliders.
  2. Slice and Layer: Slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected as one block. Place the bottom half into a baking dish, then layer the sliced sharp yellow cheddar cheese evenly over the rolls.
  3. Reassemble the Rolls: Carefully replace the top half of the Hawaiian rolls over the cheese layer, ensuring the sandwich is whole again.
  4. Make and Apply the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley to create a flavorful glaze. Using a brush, generously coat the top of the slider rolls with this garlic butter mixture.
  5. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. This allows the cheese to melt thoroughly inside.
  6. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5 to 8 minutes until the tops are golden brown, buttery, and lightly toasted.
  7. Serve: Let the sliders cool for a few minutes, then pull apart the individual rolls and serve warm as a delightful snack or party appetizer.

Notes

  • Keep the rolls connected when slicing to maintain the pull-apart slider shape.
  • Use sharp cheddar cheese for a perfect balance of meltiness and flavor.
  • The garlic butter glaze can be adjusted with fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra aroma.
  • Covering with foil during baking helps melt the cheese without drying out the rolls.
  • These sliders are best served warm fresh out of the oven.
